Saturday at Kelvingrove Museum

Pop-up performances and activities to give a taste of Mela

Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum
Saturday 13 June, 1.30-3.30pm
Free

We'll be bringing a taste of Mela to Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum the day before Glasgow Mela comes to Kelvingrove Park.

Between 1.30pm and 3.30pm, there will be pop-up performances from local dance acts Desi Bravehearts, Abhinaya and Rajesh, as well as a special performance from kathak dancer Swati Tiwari, accompanied live by traditional Indian music. Swati and her band have come all the way from New Delhi to join Glasgow Mela.

All the acts at the museum on Saturday will be appearing at Sunday's festival.

Spectators can also enjoy some hands-on art activities courtesy of Diversity Arts, who will be running free activities in the Glasgow Mela Family Zone on Sunday.
